At the website issueadvocate.blogspot.com there is a review of the Ohio Green Platform as it appears on the ohiogreens.org site.
Where each Green member stands on an issue, and what will be done to advocate for it should be identified. This can be developed through various issue discussion forums within the party. A process should be developed to allow individual members to express a direct vote on platform statements, potential issues to advocate for, and issues under local, state, and federal government consideration.
The platform is a communication tool and guide when considering an issue and how to advocate for it. The Green Party should move from ideas and and statements in the platform to issue advocacy.
The platform review was about word and phrase usage, stating positions and not explanations of why a position was taken, identifying a few platform statements that appeared to limit the broad appeal of the Green Party, and some general issue statements.
