We need phonebankers! Please Respond!
The Jill Stein campaign is launching an all-out Earth Day to May Day Challenge to qualify Jill for federal matching funds by May 1.
WHY THIS IS CRITICAL NOW
It provides a federal match for every donation we receive during the primary campaign - even past donations! This essentially doubles our money.
It boosts our fundraising ability because we can promise donors that their contribution will be matched.
It gives us additional funds to pour into ballot access drives - ensuring that Jill will be on the ballot in those states that impose hurdles to third party candidates.
Being a publicly funded candidate will help get Jill into debates and into forums. It will be hard for them to bar the door to a candidate that is receiving public funding.
The value of the federal match will be greatly reduced if we wait too long to qualify. Many ballot access drives will be over. The primary period window for fundraising will close on July 14. To get the really big boost we need, we need to qualify by May 1.
THE QUALIFYING THRESHOLD
To qualify for matching funds, we need to raise $5000 in qualifying donations in at least 20 states. The first $250 that any individual gives counts toward this total.
Jill has already reached the qualifying threshold in some states, but we need your help to make sure that at least 20 states pass the $5000 threshold by May 1st.
WE NEED PHONEBANKERS!
Here is how you can help: Volunteer to phonebank to solicit donations for Jill. This involves taking a list of names we give you and calling to ask them to donate or pledge to donate, and to sign-up as a volunteer. You can spend as little as a half-hour if you wish, although volunteering for at least 3 hours of calling would be appreciated. We will arrange a few evenings for volunteers to get together and phonebank from the same place, but most often people will just do the calling from their home.
